Directions of Use

When used on 50 x 100 floor joists, the super camlock sprags automatically lock on without slip.

1. Crank screw handle to move ram out towards you, compress boards, nail and return ram to starting position.
2. Take the main handle and pull towards you and upwards and sprags will automatically release.

An alternate method is to take a sprag lever in each hand and turn outwards to release sprags. Sprags will open sufficiently to accommodate double lapped joists. When used on 20 x 40 battens secured to concrete floor, the camlock sprags have been designed to only project 18mm Below the base of the machine, so that they will not foul the concrete floor and will grip firmly on the battens. The release operation is the same as before.

Securing machine to flat wood surfaces:

1. Remove tension spring from sprag levers, it has hook shaped ends.
2. Undo nyloc nuts and remove bolts from sprag levers.
3. Remove sprags.
4. Move ram out towards you about 2cm and place in required position and then insert a suitable sized screw into the hole in the rear bracket and screw into the existing floor material. This is adequate in most cases.

Securing machine to a concrete surface:

1. Remove sprags
2. Position clamp on floor
3. Place guide sleeves with concrete nails into sprag housing and drive nails into concrete about 1cm .
